AN ORIGINAL DUNGEONS & DRAGONS CAMPAIGN

Lost Islands of theNever Sea

Beyond the familiar shore, something extraordinary is waiting.

A violent storm drives the adventurers off course and leaves their battered ship in Havenport, a refuge within a mysterious archipelago. An endless tempest blocks the way home. To escape the Never Sea, they must chart unfamiliar waters, recover five lost magical crystals, and uncover the secrets holding these islands captive.

I’m designing a campaign where players choose their own course through prehistoric jungles, underwater villages, and pirate strongholds. Strange encounters, buried treasure, and legendary beasts make the journey part of the adventure, with room for clever bargains, unexpected friendships, and choices beyond combat.

BEHIND THE CAMPAIGN

From imagination to adventure

Building the Never Sea brings together worldbuilding, encounter writing, visual exploration, and page design.

01 / CONCEPT & WRITING

Give the world a story

I began by brainstorming the islands, inhabitants, and discoveries that would make this world worth exploring. From there, I wrote key encounters around memorable characters and meaningful player choices.

02 / VISUAL DEVELOPMENT

Find the look of the Never Sea

I used Midjourney AI to generate imagery for the project, exploring the look of its locations, characters, and creatures. The artwork helped give the written world a visual identity.

03 / PAGE DESIGN

Bring it into the book

In Canva, I assembled the writing and imagery into styled campaign pages. Parchment textures, typography, and considered layouts helped shape the ideas into a book with the feel of a finished Dungeons & Dragons adventure.
